The Program
The ISF has been prepared with the objective of providing opportunities for access through the Science Without Borders program and other student mobility programs, the universities of countries where higher education is conducted in whole or in part through foreign languages. In this sense, his actions also meet Brazilian university communities which receive an increasing number of foreign teachers and students on their campuses. To meet such demand, its actions include the provision of distance learning and classroom courses, besides the application of proficiency testing.
Developed by the Ministry of Education (MEC) through the Secretariat of Higher Education (SESu) in conjunction with the Higher Education Personnel Improvement Coordination (CAPES), the program Languages without Borders (ISF) aims to encourage learning languages, as well as providing a comprehensive and structural change in the teaching of foreign languages in universities of the country.
