Courses for general purposes

 

The courses for general purposes have contents which aim to develop written and oral comprehension and production in different contexts and social interaction situations, in different proficiency levels.

 

1. Languages:

  • Spanish
  • French
  • English
  • Japanese
  • Brazilian Sign Language (LIBRAS)
  • Portuguese as a foreign language

 

2. Courses characteristics

Hours: 60

Modalities: in-person or online courses (online classes in Google Meet and asynchronous activities in Google Classroom).

Duration of in-person classes: 1 hour and 15 minutes, twice a week OR 2 hours and 30 minutes once a week.

Duration of online classes: 1 hour in Google Meet twice a week and 1 hour of asynchronous activities in Google Classroom.

Target audience: UENP internal and external communities.

Number of vacancies: at least 8 paying students.

Approval and certification criteria: grade equal or higher than 7 and, at least, 75% attendance.

 

3. Course Levels

CII offers different course levels which go from basic to advanced, and these levels are divided in two parts (1 and 2) with 60 hours each. They are offered every 6 months according to the demand for classes. Click here and meet the proficiency levels which are developed in each level.

 

4. Prices:

 

Enrollment fee

R$ 50,00 - to enroll one course

R$ 25,00 each course - to enroll 2 or more courses

Re-enrollment fee

R$ 25,00 each course

Course fee (one semester) for internal community (professors, students and agents fromUENP)

R$ 375,00 (monthly payment - 2 to 4 months ).

You have 5% off for payment in cash.

Course fee (one semester) for external community

R$ 425,00 (monthly payment - 2 to 4 months ).

You have 5% off for payment in cash.

The enrollment/re-enrollment fee will not be returned, except for the cases of course cancellation.

The student will be allowed to attend classes after presenting the receipt which shows they paid the tuition up to the due date, otherwise they may lose their vacancy.

 

5. Material

In-person courses:

The material is not included in the enrollment fee or in the course fee. The student must buy it. It is not allowed to use photocopies of the books, since it is forbidden by the Federal Law 66/1998.

Online-courses (Google Meet and/or Google Classroom):

The material is not included in the enrollment fee or in the course fee. The student must buy it. It is not allowed to use photocopies of the books, since it is forbidden by the Federal Law 66/1998.

CII courses for specific purposes offer specific and selected contents, which are targeted to the development of specific skills and learning goals of a group of students.
